I am a great admirer of Lucy’s Attic 24 blog and whilst wondering what to do with an old Christmas wreath struck upon the idea of giving its some “Triple Layer flower” treatment.
If you want to make your own, pop over to the fabulous photo tutorial on Attic 24’s website and have a go.
So here is my rather dried up Christmas Wreath, with and without its tired looking adornments! I made the wreath base from pieces of hazel in my back garden – hence its unique shape!
With 8 triple layer flowers crocheted using Rico’s Creative Cotton on a 4.5mm hook.
….and stitched lovingly in place onto my hazel wreath……
……..it was time for some red ribbon bows to cover the flower gaps.
Voila! One happy hug to hang in my kitchen!
If you are after an even easier and quicker piece of prettiness, I would also recommend Attic 24’s May Roses.
One shop brought heart and just 3 crocheted May Roses later, my first Valentine decoration is complete!
Ready to be hung on the mantel piece along with the crochet heart bunting!

Really nice! I especially love the heart decoration.
Thank you. It’s my favourite too. X
I really love your wreath. Bright and cheery. The ribbons finish it off perfectly. Hope you are going to sell your valentine decorations? 😉
